Enjoying the Simple Things of Summer…
Nothing says “summer” better than a home-style barbeque. As the temperature rises, many turn to grilling outside. We do, too! It keeps the kitchen cool and the taste buds thrilled. This month, the residents at the Good Shepherd Cottage enjoyed a barbeque by our own executive chef, Eduardo.
Generous hamburgers sizzled away as each person relished the warm breeze on the patio. The sights, sounds, and taste of summer came to life as watermelon and lemonade were passed around, accompanied by the gentle rise and fall of relaxing conversation.
All were settled around the table on the turf, delighting in the company of each other. There was nothing fancy about this barbeque, but that is probably made it so special. It was an ordinary, simple barbeque, just like the ones at home with close friends. Yes, this is home and our Santa Teresita family is enjoying the simple things of summer.
