Our Mission

What began as a tuberculosis sanatorium for young women and girls in the 1930’s has transitioned into Santa Teresita’s Neighborhood of Care specializing in healthcare for seniors, including assisted living, skilled nursing services, and comprehensive rehabilitation. Santa Teresita is “At the Service of the Family for Life,” providing a continuum of short and long-term care for the elderly in a compassionate manner. Our mission is rooted in our shared values and steadfast adherence to the ethical principles of the Catholic Church.

We uphold and promote the dignity of life at all stages through quality care those to those whom we serve and their families.  The Carmelite Sisters and staff of Santa Teresita are dedicated to the physical, spiritual, and relational needs of each resident. We strive to provide the most homelike and supportive environment possible, empowering the lives of all with vibrancy, purpose, and fulfillment that they may thrive during their golden years. The latter years of life are meant to be rewarding, filled with purpose and nurturing. It is because of these steadfastly held principles that families throughout the United States have made Santa Teresita an option of choice for their loved one.

Spiritual Nourishment

Santa Teresita’s mission is rooted in the Gospel and reflects the healing ministry of Jesus, that the latter years may be overflowing with the beauty of nature, the joy of companionship, intellectual stimulation, physical and social involvement, the love of children, family, friends, pets, and above all: a special closeness to God.
