What is Giving Tuesday?

Praised be Jesus Christ! For over 90 years, Santa Teresita has been “At the Service of the Family for Life” in serving the healthcare needs of the residents of the greater San Gabriel Valley as a tuberculosis sanatorium, as an accredited acute-care hospital, and today as a neighborhood of care serving the healthcare needs of seniors through assisted living and professional skilled nursing and rehabilitative services.

Although 2020 brought the unprecedented challenges of Covid-19, God’s blessings remained constant. When the Thanksgiving holiday has concluded, and Black Friday and Cyber Monday are behind us, “Giving Tuesday” will step in. What is Giving Tuesday? Simply, it is a day dedicated to giving back, when we momentarily pause from the demands and hustle and bustle of life to lend a helping hand to others; it is a day to celebrate generosity and selflessness. You, our dear friends, remain constant as one of God’s most cherished blessings to us. Especially during this year with the impact of Covid-19, you have helped us continue in our service of loving care to our elderly residents. We really couldn’t do it without your help!

So on this Giving Tuesday, we ask you to prayerfully consider making a contribution in support of our work and mission at Santa Teresita. Your support will truly be a gift that will have a long and lasting impact on the lives of countless elderly we are privileged to serve. In return, know that you will be remembered in the daily prayers of gratitude by all the Carmelite Sisters. May God reward you abundantly!
