The Hayden 5k was our usual March highlight here at Santa Teresita. This year, the excitement was even more elevated than usual, as we are celebrating Hayden’s 50th anniversary! We had racers of every age and with many different modes of transportation; some running, some walking, some pushing wheel chairs or strollers with happy passengers enjoying the race. The whole event deeply reflected Santa Teresita’s claim to be “at the service of the family for life.” After the race, winners from every age category were announced and given their respective ribbons and applause, after which the party commenced!
This was a real party- live music, dancing, and lots of fun and food for everyone! Game booths were popular, as well as the annual car show, which always features an impressive collection of all the old classic models. We had several different types of food from various cultures: the typical American hamburgers and hotdogs, delicious Filipino fried noodles with crispy spring rolls, and Mexican tacos y burritos.
What a race, and what a party! We’re already excited for next year.
