A rare opportunity to draw near to one of only four female doctors of the Church and one of the greatest Saints of our times!
The Pontifical Mission Societies in the United States are sponsoring a tour of some of the relics of St. Therese. This exhibit will be visiting Santa Teresita, named for the Little Flower, on Thursday, September 19, 2013.
On display will be the writing case of the Saint, the first time this precious souvenir of the Little Flower has ever been allowed outside the Carmelite convent in France where Saint Therese lived and died. The case also contains the pen and inkwell she used. Saint Therese used the writing desk almost daily between 1894 until her death from tuberculosis in September 1897. These are the tools she used to compose her spiritual masterpiece, Story of a Soul as well as seven of her eight plays, 47 of her 62 poems, 95 of her 266 letters and 16 of her 21 prayers.
The relics will be on display in St. Joseph Chapel at Santa Teresita from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Father Andrew will lead an opening prayer at 11:00 followed by time to venerate the relics. For more information call 626-359-3243.
