Balloons, games, tents and food stands sprinkled the parking lot next to Hayden Child Care Center at Santa Teresita Campus as it hosts its annual Hayden Memorial 5K Run, Family Walk & Roll, and Family Festival to support Hayden Child Care Center.

The race honors the memory of Mr. and Mrs. William Rube Hayden, from whom the school takes its name.

The day is truly a family affair. With about 600 participants, many families come together to walk, roll and run in the 5K. The excitement continues after the race at the Family Festival with more family fun -- food, games and music.

Santa Teresita’s mission is to be “At the Service of the Family for Life” and the Hayden 5K Run, Family Walk and Roll is an unmistakable example of that mission, both physically and spiritually. The energetic life of the children encouraged smiles. The radiant life of the elderly instilled both joy and reverence, and the life of God brings about a freedom in love.
